Adaptive Fire Services

Based on the magnitude and severity of the incident, supplemental resources can be secured within our MABAS Division 12. The fire service has evolved into a multi-faceted organization constantly adapting to the needs of the residents and occupants of the fire district. To properly serve and protect these persons, the OAKBROOK TERRACE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT has personnel specially trained in the following rescue disciplines.

Hazardous Materials Team

Our hazardous materials team consists of personnel trained to the technician level to address the spill or release of hazardous materials within the Fire District. Our professional hazmat team provides immediate response.

Technical Rescue Team

Our technical rescue team consists of personnel trained to the operations and technician level to respond to emergencies including confined space rescue, trench rescue, structural collapse emergencies, and rope rescue within the fire district.

Water & Dive Rescue Team

Our water and dive rescue team consists of personnel trained to the operations and technician level to respond to emergencies including dive rescue, ice rescue, and swift water rescue emergencies within the fire district.
